1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. 3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou bein the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. 6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. Deuteronomy 28:1-6
When you take away the thees and thous the Purpose is simple; to draw awareness to Christ and his word, helping to show what he can do in the lives of people everywhere. Beata Beatus aims to encourage youth in their daily walk, promoting confidence and esteem in God's word and empowering growth.
Beata Beatus stemmed from founder Erika Johnson being intrigued by the Spanish & Latin language since she was a teenager. When staring her first blog she entitled it Ebeatus meaning; E is blessed. Loving the name & what it represented while also wanting to express her creative ideas in the form of encouragement, she began to create sayings that represented scripture, targeting girls to be encouraged to walk out God’s word & KNOW that they are meant to be blessed... Hence the birth of her brainchild Beata Beatus Clothing – where she wanted people to ‘Wear It’ but also to live out what the shirts represented.
Shortly after launching Beata Beatus, Erika lived abroad in Spain for a year where she discovered, not only how many young girls around the world needed encouragement in being confident in who they authentically are but she realized they needed a push to use what was inside of them.
She also found restoration & healing in using her own gift - singing & songwriting - which was a re-discovery out of creating a choir for some of the girls at one of the schools she worked in.
Seeing the importance & fruits in using her God given gift she began to devote time to just singing & strumming on the guitar about her feelings. She poured it out day in & day out for sometimes hours at a time & through doing this, confidence began to resurface and her authentic self who she had almost forgotten became alive again. The things she battled with like low confidence, low self esteem & even depression began to fade away. Her life literally was seen through a different lens.
Erika started to feel empowered from the knowledge in integrative health techniques, nutrition, self-care ( not just bubble baths ) & other methods that fostered healing. It was brought to light the interconnectivity of her spiritual, mental & physical well being and how important it was to develop the God given gifts inside of us because they are our weapons, they are therapeutic & they are necessary in being our true selves & being confident in that.
So, upon returning home Erika wanted to create that same environment with those principles to adolescent girls who face… well, life. She feels it is her civic responsibility to employ her personal experiences as a catalyst for a healthy change in this generation of young girls who are hurting and need that extra encouragement, restoration and resource for living holistically healthy lives.
Our mission is to facilitate a path and create a foundation for adolescent girls to live healthy holistic lives through the creative arts, integrative health techniques & encouragement.
